Tax huge bank profits to invest in the NHS

The big 4 banks have made £35.1bn in profits so far this year. Imposing a similar windfall tax to oil and gas companies on their UK income would raise billions to invest in the NHS.

Since the start of the year, the big 4 banks have made £32bn from interest and bank fees in the UK - paid by you. A 38% tax on UK net income as proposed by Positive Money would have raised £11bn so far this year.
